Discovering a Gap in the Market
I started my journey through exhibitions, and during that time, I realized that Ludhiana was missing elegant silk wear and unique statement pieces. For my personal shopping, I would often travel to Delhi, and gradually, people began noticing and asking about my outfits.
One day, I brought some pieces from Delhi and showed them to my clients. They encouraged me to start something of my own. At first, I told them it wasn’t easy, but then I thought to myself — why not give it a try?
I spent the next three months exploring different markets, searching for products that truly matched my vision, but I still couldn’t find exactly what I wanted.
That’s when I joined a BNI group. Through its events and networking opportunities, I met many people, built valuable connections, and connected with different vendors. Throughout this journey, my family supported me wholeheartedly.
In 2021, I put up my very first exhibition, and to my surprise, we were completely sold out by the second day. That success gave me immense motivation, and soon more and more people started approaching us for our collections.
Over time, I participated in nearly 40–45 exhibitions.
From Home Appointments to Multiple Cities
One day, my husband called me during the afternoon and excitedly shared that a few clients had come directly to our doorstep asking specifically for our products. Hearing that made me realize that people were genuinely interested in what we were creating and trusted our work enough to seek us out personally. That moment became a turning point in my journey.
Soon after, I started attending clients from the drawing room of my home. What began as a small setup gradually turned into a regular routine, and I continued working with clients from home for almost two years. Those years taught me patience, dedication, and the importance of building strong relationships with customers.
As the response from clients continued to grow and the footfall increased steadily, I gained more confidence in my vision and dream. Encouraged by the love and support we were receiving, I finally decided to take a major step forward and opened my very first flagship store in Ludhiana.
It was a proud and emotional milestone for me because it represented years of hard work, belief, and persistence. Seeing customers walk into my own store for the first time felt surreal and deeply rewarding.
A few months later, another exciting opportunity came my way when I decided to give my first franchise to Memsaab in Jalandhar. That achievement marked the beginning of a new phase of expansion and growth for the brand.
Soon after, we started expanding further into different cities, including Amritsar, Panipat, Ahmedabad, and Dehradun. Each new location brought fresh experiences, new customers, and greater learning opportunities. Watching the brand grow beyond my hometown was both humbling and inspiring.
It is hard to believe that all of this was accomplished in just five years, and the experience continues to motivate me to dream even bigger for the future.
